Our unwavering commitment to reducing our carbon footprint remains at the forefront of our environmental initiatives. We strive to achieve this through the strategic implementation of energy-efficient technologies, emission reduction strategies, and the optimization of energy consumption.
To ensure the efficient utilisation of energy, we invest in cutting-edge equipment and automation at our manufacturing facilities, effectively managing energy consumption. Our initiatives include the installation of LEDs, the utilisation of variable frequency drives for conveyor belt systems in select plants, the adoption of briquettes as an alternative energy source, and the centralization of air compressor, water chiller, and vacuum pump systems, all contributing to a substantial reduction in energy usage.
Furthermore, we have set ambitious targets, aiming for net carbon neutrality by 2040. Our ongoing efforts are directed towards the decarbonization process and the reduction of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
We have taken extensive measures to control emissions, including the installation of wet scrubbers on all industrial exhausts to effectively eliminate harmful particles and gases before they are released into the atmosphere. Our emission levels consistently adhere to permissible limits, with no instances of non-compliance, and we diligently report our emissions to the central and state pollution control boards.
Our commitment to environmental preservation extends to maintaining a vast 45.8-acre green belt, boasting over 14,000 trees. This extensive green belt serves as a valuable carbon sink, helping absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
In our pursuit of sustainability, we leverage advanced technologies to optimise our supply chain management and reduce travel-related emissions. Collaborative knowledge-sharing sessions with supply chain vendors and channel partners further empower them to minimise power consumption, contributing to our collective goal of reducing our supply chain's carbon footprint.

We are dedicated to consistently reducing fresh water consumption across our operations. Our strategic approach includes the installation of online auto cut-off meters at various plants to monitor borewell water usage, promoting responsible water use across our facilities.

Recognizing the dual role of packaging in the competitive FMCG sector, we focus on sustainable packaging through lightweighting and the utilization of eco-friendly alternatives. We have eliminated the usage of printed PVC sleeves, transparent tamper-evident top PVC sleeves, and paper top labels. Additionally, within our factories, we have transitioned to reusable jumbo bags and consistently reuse packaging materials, such as drums, for the past two years. Our investment in advanced packaging research and recycling infrastructure underscores our dedication to minimizing the environmental impact of our packaging.
We are fully committed to adopting modern approaches to achieve a circular economy for plastics. Our collaborations with partners aim to introduce innovative, 100% reusable, recyclable, or compostable packaging. We are determined to achieve 'Zero Plastic' waste by 2027, a commitment that entails collecting and responsibly disposing of an equivalent or greater quantity of plastic waste compared to our total plastic generation. Our best-in-class waste management practices and partnerships with certified waste co-processing partners drive this initiative. Efforts to make our plastic packaging more recyclable, reusable, or compostable have resulted in significant progress.
+
In our endeavour to embrace green energy, we have successfully installed rooftop solar power systems totaling 1,210 KW across three of our plants - Silvassa (65 KW), Pithampur (495 KW), and Puducherry (650 KW). We are proactively exploring additional renewable energy solutions across our factories to align with the national goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2070.

We are committed to fostering a work environment that upholds human rights, and we expect our employees, vendors, suppliers, and business associates to share this commitment. Our human rights framework aligns with the seven core conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO). Each of our agreements includes a dedicated clause mandating compliance with human rights provisions, with non-compliance potentially leading to the termination of business relationships.
We prioritize continuous learning, offering role-based development opportunities to employees at all stages of their employment. We provide customized on-the-job training, technical training for manufacturing staff, and interpersonal and business development skills training for field staff. Regular soft skills, computer knowledge, and other training programs ensure our employees remain up-to-date and relevant.
To remain competitive, we are integrating digitization into our operations rapidly, reaping the benefits of increased efficiency, enhanced productivity, improved consumer experience, and more.

We continuously strive to nurture a diverse and inclusive workforce, where individuals from various ethnicities, cultures, languages, gender backgrounds, and religions come together to leverage their unique strengths and drive success. Our diversity and inclusion policy fosters a safe and non-discriminatory work environment.
We uphold a fair and just work culture where employees enjoy basic human rights without discrimination, in accordance with labor laws, human rights, and other regulations. A robust system ensures stringent compliance with laws and timely grievance resolution. We promote equal opportunities and employ a merit-based performance evaluation and management system.

The safety, health, and well-being of our employees and partners are paramount. Our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policy, built on industry best practices, guides us in creating a safe workplace. Initiatives such as safety and health protocols, regular training, and safety checklists have been instrumental in preventing safety incidents and protecting our people. A Safety Committee ensures ongoing evaluation and improvement of HSE metrics.

We are actively transitioning toward producing products with fewer chemicals that are safer and more environmentally friendly. Our R&D efforts are focused on this transition, aiming to eliminate products involving hazardous chemicals and create a portfolio of EU Eco Label or equivalent certified products.
We prioritise health, hygiene, and environmental sustainability through products such as our 'Exo bar,' India's first antibacterial dishwash bar. We refrain from using hazardous chemicals in our manufacturing processes, further contributing to a safer and cleaner environment. We adhere stringently to all environmental safety norms laid out by governing bodies.
